Guster Ready to ‘Gang Up’ on Chicago

Boston-based rock band Guster is no stranger to playing to sold-out crowds in the Chicago area, and with a new album, Guster is prepared to thrill fans with new material at Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion on July 28.

Guster--which includes Adam Gardner (guitar/vocals), Ryan Miller (guitar/vocals) and Brian Rosenworcel (drums/percussion)--is on tour in support of the band’s latest album “Gang Up on the Sun,” which hit stores on June 20. Multi-instrumentalist Joe Pisapia has also joined the band. Look for him to play bass and other instruments on the tour.

Longtime Guster songs like “Airport Song,” “Either Way,” “The Great Escape” and “Jackals” are favorites of Guster fans at live performances. From “Gang Up on the Sun,” the album’s first single, the catchy “One Man Wrecking Machine” is sure to help spread the Guster word to an even wider audience.

Other songs like “C’mon,” “Manifest Destiny” and “Satellite” also shine, and the jam-friendly “Ruby Falls” thrills with over seven minutes of fun.

Charter One Pavilion is at 1300 S. Linn White Dr. in Chicago on the former site of Meigs Field. Tickets for this all-ages show are listed for $33.50 each with showtime scheduled for 7 p.m. Singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne and rock band Rogue Wave are also scheduled to perform.
