Keane to Shine at Auditorium Theatre

UK-native light-rock band Keane grabbed instant headlines in 2004 with the hot-selling
album “Hopes and Fears.” The trio, has now returned with new material
and will tour through Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre on Sept. 7.
Keane--which includes Tom Chaplin (vocals), Tim Rice-Oxley (piano, bass, vocals)
and Richard Hughes (drums)--is on tour in support of its latest album “Under
the Iron Sea,” which hit stores June 20.
From its beginning, Keane drew sold-out crowds and critical acclaim in its native
Europe and it didn’t take long for that buzz to cross over to North America.
Songs like “Everybody’s Changing,” “Somewhere Only We
Know” and “This is the Last Time” propelled the band’s
debut album “Hopes and Fears,” and brought the band its fair share
of sold-out shows and acclaim on U.S. soil.
With the new album “Under the Iron Sea,” the band takes a familiar
stand with its piano-driven light-rock ballads. The album’s most punchy
song “Is It Any Wonder,” was an instant hit on radio and could help
the band continue its sudden success.
Songs like “A Bad Dream,” “Leaving So Soon” and “Put
It All Behind You” shine while the entire album serves as harmonious music
that is sure to brighten the mood of any Keane fan.
Auditorium Theatre is at 50 E. Congress Pkwy., adjacent to Roosevelt University.
Tickets for this all-ages show are listed for $33 and $27.50 each with showtime
