Less Than Jake has thrilled fans of ska-flavored punk-rock music for years
and the band’s tradition will continue through 2006 with a new album
and a new tour that’s slated to run through Chicago’s House of
Blues on Feb. 13.
Less Than Jake—a band which prefers publicly to use only first names—includes:
Chris on vocals and guitars, Roger on bass, Vinnie on drums, Buddy on trombone
and J.R. on saxophone. Less Than Jake is on tour in support of its new album
“In With the Outcrowd” with a tentative release sometime in March
or April.
Less Than Jake has been a touring force since the 90s whether on sold-out
headlining tours or as a mainstay on the Vans Warped Tour, which has become
an annual touring monster itself.
Songs like “9th at Pine,” “Sugar In Your Gas Tank”and
other fan-favorite tracks. Less Than Jake’s previous album “Anthem”
featured the hit single “Look What Happened” and a peppy cover
of the Cheap Trick classic tune “Surrender.”
House of Blues is at 329 N. Dearborn St. Rock bands A Wilhelm Scream, Rock
n’ Roll Soldiers and Damone are also scheduled to perform. Tickets for
this all-ages show are listed for $17 each with showtime slated for 5:30 p.m.
