Lifehouse stood as one of Top 40 radio’s biggest acts when the trio
caught the ears of millions of fans worldwide with the smash hit “Hanging
By a Moment,” which was the most played song in 2001. And now two albums
later, now touring behind its self-titled third album, the Lifehouse train
keeps chugging along. The latest Lifehouse tour brought the band through Chicago’s
Vic Theatre for a sold-out May 14 performance that even actor Kiefer Sutherland
couldn’t miss. The star of FOX’s “24” was spotted
as he sat in the stage left VIP balcony area enjoying every second of Lifehouse’s
90-minute set.
Lifehouse--which includes Jason Wade (vocals, guitar), Bryce Soderberg (bass),
and Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums)--kept things simple, and the packed Vic
Theatre crowd loved every second of it, even if Wade’s vocals and words
sometimes came out a bit mumbled.
While mixing in tracks from the new self-titled album, which hit stores on
March 22, including “Come Back Down,” “Days Go Bye,”
“We’ll Never Know,” and the new hit, acoustic single “You
And Me,” Lifehouse made sure to mix in its share of radio singles.
Paying homage to the band’s longtime fans, Lifehouse also busted out
their three radio hits, which included “Hanging By a Moment,”
“Spin”, and “Take Me Away,” with all three tracks
loudly appreciated by the sold-out crowd.
Lifehouse also performed other fan-favorite tracks like “Breathing,”
“Storm,” and several others, with a majority of the young crowd
singing along.
Chicago-area Lifehouse fans are treated to a second dose of Lifehouse as the
band will return for a June 13 show at House of Blues. House of Blues is at
329 N. Dearborn Ave. Tickets for this all-ages show are listed for $23.50
each with showtime slated for 6:30 p.m. For more information on Lifehouse
